Full Description:
WHO: Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Inc. (NASDAQ: PEET), a specialty coffee roaster and marketer of fresh, deep-roasted whole bean coffee and hand-selected teas. For information about Peet’s Coffee
& Tea, Inc. visit www.peets.com or call 1-800-999-2132.
WHAT: To celebrate its arrival to Fremont, Peet’s will be hosting this free and informative coffee expo that gives participants an in-depth look at the world of specialty coffee and teas. Throughout the event, there will be a series of comparative tastings led by Peet’s experts.
Peet’s tastings lead participants through an exploration of the history of coffee and tea and an overview of distinctive flavor characteristics. Participants will also have an opportunity to taste three to four coffees or teas in a comparative setting and to ask questions about the growing, unique production and brewing of Peet's coffees and teas.
Peet’s Tips Donation program, an important part of Peet’s tradition, will also take place during the event to bring together the company, its staff and local community members in a combined effort. With this program Peet’s will offer free brewed coffee and tea in its Fremont store throughout the weekend. Tips received on that weekend will be matched by Peet’s (up to $1,000) and donated to the Fremont Public Association, a local non-profit organization dedicated to achieving a just and caring community, free from poverty, prejudice and neglect.
